West Clandon, Guildford, Surrey
Cost Planning, Programming Advice
A Grade I listed mansion built in the 1720s for Lord Onslow and now owned by the National Trust.
In 2015, a fire broke out, effectively gutting the building. Rambol UK Limited were instructed by the loss adjusters to create a digital reproduction of Clandon Park. Our role was to prepare a detailed cost plan for the cost of reinstating the house for the insurers, Zurich Insurance.
After decontamination had taken place and the building made safe, Potter Raper were better able to understand the full extent of the damage and what elements of the building could be saved to revise our estimate accordingly.
We were subsequently instructed to review and comment on the National Trust’s programme for refurbishment of the building.
