The new Heatherwood Hospital, a hospital specialising in elective care which opened early this year, was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ at the Building Better Healthcare Awards 2022 In the UK Best Healthcare development over £10 million.
The Hospital specialises in planned, non-emergency surgery with 48 in-patient beds, 22-day case procedure rooms or ‘pods,’ 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, radiology, oral maxillofacial surgery, along with outpatient and diagnostic facilities. To view the full case study please click here.
In a year where the competition was stiff, and the bar was set high, it is fantastic to see the project and the team receive this much deserved recognition.
BDP hosted a table at the Awards Ceremony; it was a great opportunity for the team, including Andrew Thorp, NEC Project Manager, to be reunited.
