We hope you and your families are all safe and well during these challenging times.
It is with a heavy heart that, due to the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID 19 pandemic, we are announcing that we have made the decision to postpone our 50th birthday celebrations until next year.
Our priority must be the safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests to the event. Given that it remains unclear whether we will get a 2nd spike or if social distancing measures will continue into and beyond October, we did not feel it would be practically possible or socially responsible to hold the event this year.
The walk is not only important for us in raising awareness of the benefits that exercise can have on mental health issues but it is also an opportunity to get together and celebrate the past 50 years and look forward to the future to come. With over 200 participants anticipated, we felt we could not safely do that in the current situation.
We are, instead, looking to hold the event next year and will let everyone know when that will be as soon as things head back to normal, so we can all get those trainers on and start to prepare!
