David joined Potter Raper in 2024 and is a Chartered Building Surveyor with 10 years of private consultancy experience, and has a proven track record of delivering projects/commissions for a range of Clients. He specialises in Feasibility, Design, Specification, Project Management/Contract Administration of project work ranging in value from £50k – £4M using JCT & NEC forms of contact.

David also has experience undertaking professional services including Condition Surveys, Technical Due Diligence, Schedule of Conditions and Dilapidations.

David has worked in a variety of sectors, providing robust construction consultancy advice in a wide range of settings. He has experience in securing fundings and delivering projects for state schools and colleges, as well as privately funded public schools, commercial, blue light (police), residential and insurance reinstatement clients.

David has experience acting as Client/Programme Lead, providing hands-on support, driving lessons learnt, and acting as a key point of communication for a programme of works.

In his spare time David enjoys keeping active by running and cycling, and despite his best efforts to get attention, being ignored by his two cats at home.
