David has worked for Potter Raper since 2001 having joined whilst still training for his degree. He is a Director with overall management responsibility for our Quantity Surveying and Health and Safety teams in the Beckenham Office, as well as being the company’s Financial Director.
As a Fellow of the RICS and former teaching assistant at a primary school, David is actively involved in training. Having been an APC Assessor for many years, he regularly provides APC support to our staff and clients, as well as other structured training sessions for our client teams.
Primarily working on residential and education projects for public sector clients, David has delivered schemes in excess of £50m. He is an expert in residential refurbishment, including sustainability measures and works involving Leaseholder Billing where he has acted as both Expert Witness and witness of fact at First Tier Tribunals and at Adjudication. In addition, David manages various new-build residential projects including infill sites, large estate regeneration schemes and rooftop developments, including advice on asset management planning, cost benefit analysis and contractor procurement.
His project portfolio includes the £42m residential refurbishment and overcladding of the Tustin Estate for the London Borough of Southwark, the Thurrock ‘Transforming Homes’ programme of residential refurbishment at £10m p.a. and new-build developments for Westminster Housing, including the £20m Beachcroft House residential care home and the £40m developments of Ashbridge, Ashmill and Cosway Street.
David enjoys spending time with his family, golf and gaming and is particularly proud that he can still beat his son on Mario Kart.
