Ken Hannah
Project Director
Ken is a Project Director who works within the Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Department. A Chartered Building Engineer, Ken joined Potter Raper in 2013 with a MBA, BSc (Hons) in Construction Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Managing Interdisciplinary Design Teams in the Built Environment (IDBE) at Wolfson College, Cambridge University.
Appointed to assist the HS&E Department to manage the CDM pre-construction process, Ken quickly achieved NEBOSH Construction and Fire Risk National Certificates followed by a MSc in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management. Previously an Associate Director working in the Beckenham office, Ken has led the Potter Raper London office CDM Principal Designer services delivery for over 7 years to a number of property investment fund projects both commercial and residential and to large London property estates including BP, UCL and UCLH.
In addition to chartered status with the Institute of Occupational safety and Health (CMIOSH), Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (MCABE), Ken is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and holds CMaPS status with the Association for Project Safety and sits on the APS Education Committee, the National APS Regional Representatives’ Committee and the Southern Region Committee of CABE.
Ken’s diverse project portfolio includes notable ventures such as the £100m Kidbrooke Village Phase 3 project, the pre-construction phase of the £196m Sky Studios North project, the £6.9 million Avebury House project, the £40 million Tempo Maidenhead project, the £70 million 101 Cleveland Street project and a number of performing arts, environmental and heritage projects.
An amateur golfer, Level 3 golf referee and choral singer, Ken is also a keen rugby fan. In his spare time, he has been an occasional mentor for University of Westminster Architectural students, and is a Trustee for Sports Aid (Scotland), a Guide for Scottish Blind Golf and a charity fundraiser.
