Simon Daniels
Managing Director
Simon is the Managing Director based in the Central London office. He started at Potter Raper in 1983 and became a Partner in 1990, helping to establish the London office in 1992.
Simon is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by training but has also completed the RICS Diploma in Project Management.
His experience has mainly been in the commercial sector on projects such as the £190 million Sky Studios Elstree campus, the £200 million Bristol Temple Island scheme, the £103 million office redevelopment of 245 Hammersmith Road and the £50 million new office buildings at Newcastle Helix.
He also specialises in carrying out Due Diligence/Fund Monitor roles and was involved as such on the FA’s National Football Centre at St George’s Park, the new North/South stand at Headingley, the 2 million sq ft distribution centre for Amazon at Tilbury, other distribution centres for Next and Waitrose and student accommodation schemes at Cambridge, Southampton and Lincoln Universities. He also carried out the Due Diligence on the £170 million Tinbergen development at Oxford University, as well as the new Fusion Development Research building at Culham Science Centre Oxfordshire.
Within the public sector, Simon was the Director involved in the £180 million Building Schools for the Future programme for Haringey Council.
On behalf of the company, Simon sits on the Bank of England Decision Maker Panel.
Simon is keen on fly fishing and golf when away from the office.
