Here at Potter Raper we have an established track record in training people to become Chartered Quantity or Building Surveyors. We regularly employ School Leavers and Graduates to enter into our Structural Training Programme and provide financial support and practical guidance to assist them to achieve their degree and professional certificates. This is demonstrated by the fact that a number of Directors and Associate Directors have trained at Potter Raper and moved into Senior positions as the company has grown.

We have a number of staff across the offices who act as APC Mentors or Assessors who, along with Supervisors and Counsellors, are able to provide a solid base of knowledge to enable our Surveyors to start their career.

The company has representatives in each office who act/have acted as APC Mentors and/or Assessors along with mentors who are able to provide a solid base of knowledge for a Surveyor to start their career. This includes the following Senior personnel:

What we are looking for? 

School Leavers: 

A minimum of 112 UCAS points with preferred A-levels of Mathematics and/or a science subject.

GCSE Maths – Grade 6 minimum.

GCSE English – Grade 6 minimum.

Demonstration of good IT skills and a pro-active approach to ones career.

You will need to demonstrate your commitment to becoming a Chartered Surveyor and your understanding of the role and company.

Graduates: 

As above with a minimum 2:1 in the degree you have undertaken. Degrees do not necessarily need to be in Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying but understand the need to complete a post-graduate degree in the selected field.
