On Thursday 29th November 2018, Peter Estlin, Lord Mayor of the City of London, and James Murray, Deputy Mayor of London (Housing), topped off the structure of City YMCA London’s new home for homeless young people. In less than a year the structure will become a home for 146 homeless young people, giving them a home where they can put their lives back together. The brand new, £20 million flagship building is due to open by summer 2019, giving hope to 10,000 young homeless Londoners over the next 60 years. This was a momentous occasion for City YMCA London and for homeless young Londoners. This project has been ten years in the making.
