We recently visited the Holloway Prison site alongside Peabody Developments Ltd, Greater London Authority, Islington Council, and London Square to see how the construction is progressing.
Built in three phases, this development is set to welcome new residents in 2027. It will deliver a total of 985 homes, including 60 extra care homes. Of these, 415 will be for social rent and 178 for shared ownership, which will make 60 percent of the homes affordable. The development will also feature a 1.4-acre public park, flexible commercial spaces and a Women’s Building which will provide support services for women.
The development incorporates a variety of sustainability features, including air source heat pumps, photovoltaic solar panels, thermal insulation, mechanical ventilation, efficient lighting, responsible material sourcing and waste reduction.
We’re proud to be involved in this development acting as the Employer’s Agent, Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor and look forward to seeing the site transform over the coming years, bringing a fantastic extension to #Islington!
