Melfield Gardens topping out ceremony was a huge success last week! We joined Phoenix Community Housing, Levitt Bernstein, Jerram Falkus Construction Limited, and Lewisham Council to celebrate reaching the full height of the building structure.
We are providing Employer’s Agent, Cost Consultant, Principal Designer and Clerk of Works services on this award-winning Passivhaus project. The scheme involves designing and constructing 30 affordable housing units for individuals aged 55 and above, along with 2 four-bedroom homes and a communal space.
As part of an ‘intergenerational scheme’, aimed at addressing challenges such as isolation, loneliness, and other issues confronted by the aging population, the four-bedroom homes will be allocated to students from a London University. In exchange for spending a few hours each week assisting and keeping the elderly residents’ company, these students benefit from reduced rent.
