A new 4-storey building, sited in rural woodland adjacent to the existing hospital buildings it replaced. This new NHS hospital provides circa 11,000m2 of new and improved facilities including 48 in-patient beds, 6 operating theatres, procedure rooms, radiology, oral maxillofacial surgery, along with new out-patient department.
The top floor of the hospital includes private in-patient beds, which have been arranged to maximise outward facing views of the surrounding landscape and to celebrate the woodland setting views of the treetops and surrounding flora and fauna.
The new hospital is part of a development which includes a 4,000m2 administrative wing and GP hub located adjacent to the staff car-park and entrance to the hospital. 450 car-parking spaces will be provided on-site.
