Holloway Park, formerly an HM prison, was decommissioned around 2016. It is now a Peabody-led development in collaboration with London Square, under an unconditional land purchase. This redevelopment provides a significant opportunity to transform the area into a high-quality, inclusive, and sustainable new neighbourhood. This transformation aims to make a meaningful contribution to both the local community and the overall built environment.
Noteworthy is the integration of sustainability features within the development, emphasising a commitment to environmental responsibility. These features include air source heat pumps, photovoltaic solar panels, thermal insulation, mechanical ventilation, energy-efficient lighting, responsible material sourcing, and a focus on waste reduction.
