Tustin Estate forms part of Southwark Council’s Great Estates Programme. Works include the redesign, refurbishment and upgrades to the 1960 housing estate, including the three tower blocks, podium deck, landscape and cladding.

The estate includes 299 homes in three towers and six low-rise blocks, the Pilgrims Way Primary School and local businesses which front onto the Old Kent Road.
The project was executed in phases and included several distinct work streams. These included a temporary car park, demolition of the first-floor floor podium level, replacement of 200 kitchens and bathroom, installation of a new water main, as well as the extensive external refurbishment and plans for 13 new Hidden Homes, a new Concierge and a new Tenant Resident Association facility.
Further works included new roofs, new windows, external rock panel cladding, communal electrical equipment replacement, fire stopping measures, decoration to all communal areas, installation of new entry phones and IRS (Integrated Reception System), new play area, plus ancillary works.
