Last week, Her Majesty The Queen officially opened Mulberry Academy London Dock, marking a momentous occasion for this state-of-the-art, Passivhaus-certified secondary school.
Designed by Architype and delivered with sustainability, innovation, and community at its core, this impressive five-storey, L-shaped school was built on a narrow plot, making smart use of space in an urban setting. It features cutting-edge learning facilities, a basement sports hall and games area, and a cleverly designed playground that sits above the games space, maximising every inch of the site.
As Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor, Clerk of Works, and Party Wall Surveyor, we’re incredibly proud to have played a key role in delivering a school that will shape the future of education and sustainability in London. It’s fantastic to see the school now open and full of students, bringing the spaces to life.
A huge congratulations to our client, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and all project partners, including Kier, Architype, Walsh, Tower Hamlets Council, the Department for Education, and St George PLC, on delivering such an inspiring project.
