We’re pleased to announce the successful completion and handover of Valley Drive last week, a landmark Gravesham Borough Council (GBC) development comprising two separate blocks of affordable rented housing and a total of 48 new homes. Block A is dedicated to the over 55s and Block B is for general needs.
This striking scheme references the Kent vernacular, incorporates courtyards, pitched roofs and gables with carefully considered brick detailing. The high-quality amenity space is intended for gatherings, outdoor activities, exercise and gardening. Dual or triple aspect homes with generous internal layouts were emphasised in what was praised at planning committee as ‘a very good example of a well thought out proposal of high-quality design’.
Immediately upon handover, residents started moving into their new homes. This is one of the most satisfying aspects of our work, the moment when we see the result of the efforts of so many people on a project which ultimately delivers life changing housing and a thriving community in the making.
