We are delighted to announce that Nicola Tilbury, one of our Board Directors, is through to the final of the Women in Construction South East Construction Awards 2023. With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, Nicola’s extensive knowledge and diverse experience makes her an invaluable asset to the construction industry and Potter Raper.
Nicola is committed to supporting women in the construction industry and is a respected leader and advocate. As the Director of our Brighton office, which she established in 2017, she leads a multi-disciplinary team, as well as being responsible for our Learning and Development strategy across the business. She has set up and is Champion for our Mental Health and Wellbeing group and is instrumental in the cultural transition of the business to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). In 2015 Nicola established our ‘Women Informal Networking‘ (WIN) events to provide networking opportunities for women who work in the construction industry. This successful event is still running today and, due to popular demand, has recently been expanded to all regional offices. Nicola also takes the time to visit schools and attend career events highlighting the exciting careers available in the construction industry and encouraging female students to consider this field.
Nicola is a remarkable leader who demonstrates her commitment to the construction industry, our clients and colleagues. She is a role model who shares her technical expertise and skills with others and encourages the learning and development of the next generation.
